Dear VSC users,

in the course of the ongoing work a broken fuse has been discovered and needs to be replaced. This means that the cooling system of VSC-4 and VSC-5 will not be working for the duration of the work. To avoid an additional downtime we have agreed that this work will be performed tomorrow in the period:

Thursday 6.2.2025, 8:00 - 14:00

We will shutdown the compute nodes of VSC-4 and VSC-5 tomorrow morning. Running jobs will be aborted and login will not be possible during the downtime.

We apologise for the short notice. Normal operation will resume tomorrow afternoon.

Dear VSC users,

the cause of the cooling system failure has been unscheduled work by an external firm which affected the control system and cause a failure of pumps. Repair is currently in progress but we will not be able to return to normal operation before tomorrow.
We plan to start the compute nodes tomorrow, Wednesday 5.2. in the afternoon.

we currently have cooling issues on VSC-5 related to pump failures of the cooling system.  All nodes are currently unavailable.
