Dear VSC-Users As many of you have experienced, we currently have problems with our storage which affects all nodes on both VSC-4 and VSC-5. We therefore need to take the storage array offline to enact repairs on the controllers - this means we have to shut down VSC-4 and VSC-5, including the login nodes and GUI nodes as well as jupyterhub (none of those work without the storage mounted). This will happen on Tuesday, the 14th of January and Wednesday, the 15th of January. Running jobs will be terminated on Tuesday morning and login will not be possible during that time. We will also use this shutdown to extend the cooling of VSC-5, which will then get some additional compute nodes. We aim to resume operations by Thursday, the 16th of January in the morning.
